Feet
One simple thing to do every day is to take care of our feet. By keeping the ankles and toes open and receptive we aid the body in proper circulation of fluids, lengthening the lifespan. As the saying goes, ‘we die from the feet up’.
Meridians have their end points in each toe and internal organs have their associated points on the sole of each foot. Marmas connected to vision, stiffness and breathing are also located on the feet. Pressure and stretching of the feet and toes contribute to healthy body and general flexibility.
Rotating the ankles on long flights helps counter the inevitable swelling that occurs. Tucking the toes directly helps in the alignment of the sacrum and spine and is recommended in helping alleviate sciatic pain. So tuck your toes and bare your weight on your feet. See how long you can last!
